The banner on the forums is still blue and gold for Ukraine, but people may be forgetting why. The war is entering year 3 and the need in Ukraine is more now than ever! Ukraine's fight is the fight of all free peoples, it is a fight for the rule of law and democracies everywhere! We must not forget about the ongoing atrocities committed by Putin's Russia.
I want to share this letter from an organization I support called HOPE FOR UKRAINE. Watch the video, visit the crowdfunding site, or find your own local organizations working in Ukraine and do something.
I hope this email finds you well. First of all, from the bottom of my heart I would like to thank you for your support of Hope For Ukraine. None of our charitable work in Ukraine would be possible without generous donors like you. Thank you again for your commitment to help people in war-torn Ukraine.
As we approach the end of another challenging year, I'm reaching out to you with a heartfelt request for your continued support. The ongoing war in Ukraine has brought unimaginable hardships to countless families, and as it drags on, the need for emergency food supplies has only grown more urgent.
Two+ years of war in Ukraine: about 40% of the Ukrainian population need humanitarian aid. This year, despite a decrease in overall giving to our food program, we were still able to provide 1,500 food kits every week to families in a desperate need. Recently, I have done a podcast with Art Taylor, CEO of BBB Wise Giving Alliance, that Hope For Ukraine has been accredited by this year, discussing challenges we are facing on the ground in Ukraine to provide basic food to a large number of people that are affected by this war. In order for us to continue feeding families in Ukraine at the same levels in the first 3 months of 2025 we urgently need to raise $100,000 by the end of 2024 so we can make another bulk food purchase for our feeding program in the beginning of January.
