But what about current top era? Where are the goods from next era?

That's what I already said. Those will be goods from current era, but it does not really matter. When the Space Hub starts, you can stay in Titan and have the buildings that can produce next age goods and units, produce those, or you just move on and they do the exact same. They probably never thought about how it would be when you are in the top era.

I was fairly positive about this but seeing things like this it really not looking promising for the mechanic. It's not heading in the direction I was hoping for already.

Thread 'Alexander the Great fragments' https://forum.beta.forgeofempires.com/index.php?threads/alexander-the-great-fragments.17274/
Common alexander the great, Uncommon alexander the great, Rare alexander the great? WTF. That is not interesting. I am sure each alexander is ever larger levels of red attack boost. yippee.

Agree, it's not like the feature has a lot of meat on the bones to begin with, but offering 3 or 4 different versions of the same historical figure really adds a level of tedium and boredom to a feature whose only attraction to begin with is how many DIFFERENT heroes you could get in order to customize your game.

They already had a (somewhat bizarrely) themed historical event, so umm why isn't it something like Marie Curie to boost fps, Marco Polo to boost goods, and if you insist Alexander for attack boost, but give 3 different people with different benefits. They keep saying they want players to specialize in different things, but then offer the same plain vanilla yogurt in small, medium and large.

I can’t get Alexander to go in his room! After placing him in the room
I get a tab saying to cancel and can’t do anything until I press cancel!

All ok now. There was a new building in my inventory for him to reside in.

You can place Alexander in the Arcadian Whisperwood Watermill or the Timeless Junction. Timeless Junction has been in your inventory since the start of the Allies. You should also have a Spartan Soldier.

OK, so now we're several allies in, Any positivity I had for the addition has now declined to complete confusion as to why they have done the mechanic this way.

On other games they created they have done it in a completely different way of accumulating frags and it was always a sought after thing and with work put in you could build up decent allies/heroes I'm now just collecting frags of multiple allies, that will no doubt be forgotten about as they add more. All tied to events and rivals.

Only 200 frags for a 2nd Alexander in the prizeline this time. Guess we have to play everything a certain way on every single event to claim the things. As it goes I'd rather not and leave allies alone as they're just another annoyance on events now.

Why does the first Alexander and this one have a 1 in the corner. Are they both level 1? This one has a star and says level 1 so was the first one level 0? Should it have a zero in the corner?

Isn't the star related to it's rarity and the 1 simply it's level?

I've already scratched this stuff from my todo/tohave list as I only do a few events a Year and zero Rival's. My list have actually become very short but that's another topic.

This new Alex shows a 1 and is titled level 1, but the other one is 1 too so whats the difference on the level, makes the level info seem pointless. This had a star and uncommon but unless they're planning a confusing situation where we have levels and rarities defined by tiny little graphics rather than simply x level is common and x level is uncommon I'm not sure which way they're heading with it.

I pretty much gave up on it anyway when I noticed they would dictate how to play everything. It's not only an event anymore, it's play the event this way, hold your currency till this point and use your event currency this way, play rivals this way but if you do anything slightly wrong you screw the main building or the allies.

OK so if I try and win Alex MKII uncommon level 1 with a one star. I can't even place it because the buildings so far have been Lvl 1 common, so I need to win a military uncommon building to place Alex level 1 with one star in, Have I got that right?

So there's no point even trying because I don't even want the main building so ironically the level 1 uncommon 1 star Alex MKII if I did attempt to win it would still stay in my inventory with Alex level 1 no star frags and the level 1 no star Arminious frags and achieved nothing.

Are these event designers blinkered and think everyone is just A-Z on everything and building everything. They're nuts.

Just look at the direction Inno and its developers have gone the past couple of years. It clearly shows that whoever is in charge now, is completely different than who used to be in charge. In large part, showing that whoever is in charge now does not really know or understand what they are doing - or at least do not understand where their customer base is and why they used to have to many long term players that they are no longer maintaining.

Why on earth couldn't they provide one building for all allies to gather in ? Its for revenue but only giving us the chance of a building with one single room space and for a particular type only on events, they must think the player base is stupid enough to keep spending in order to obtain these buildings, they really do not understand their customers or the game, Inno are trying to dictate what buildings players should place, soon they will be dictating everything, no free will...ha, think again INNO your historical Allies can return to the dust they were made from, unless a building is worth having they will not be built..... end of

The answer is rather easy. If it was one building, you would no longer bother to get the event buildings so less money would be spend. Same reason why the room space is is for a particular type only. It is also why you need the allies for the recent event buildings. Without it they are way less powerful.

It's all 'bout the money
All 'bout the dum dum da da dum dum
I don? t think it's funny
To see us fade away
It's all 'bout the money
It's all 'bout the dum dum da da dum dum
And I think THEY got it all wrong anyway
Anyway
Cause it's all 'bout the money

So how is Timeless Junction a military building? I only get goods from it.
