Honestly I would suggest that you:
1. DO NOT! place any of your Barn/Fields as of yet. Get yourself going a bit more before you decide on if you want to be a fighter or a 'farmer' (ie: do you enjoy battling or just negotiating with resources)

2. Continue just doing the recurring quests, (ie: 'gather 1500 supplies/coins', 'spend 8 fps', etc...) & doing your daily aiding of neighbours/friends/guildmates until you have assembled a full set of blue prints for Zeus - this is the first military boosting GB (great building)
level it up to Lv10 - ask your guild mates to help you out a bit too.

3. Move into Iron Age, then with the extra space you'll have by then, you can decide whether you'd prefer to be a fighter or a negotiator.
If you want to be a fighter, you'll only certain fields for example, while a negotiator will want the full barn set.

hmmm - this event building seems like a diamond sink - finish all quests and unless u get lucky with incidents (ffs!) u wont get max level.....as for the resultant building, nobody jumping up and down saying a must hav.....
