GvG question - more than 8 battles at once?

Cuthwolf

Captain
I was told something about GvG yesterday and wanted to check whether it was true.

I was told that it was a wasted effort to have more than 8 guild members attacking at the same time, that the 9th battle to start would just duplicate one of the first 8 and that if both won then only one victory would count.

If this is true, how do you organise a mass attack? Teams of 8: one team fighting, the others waiting or rebuilding?

Consider about a sector with defense filled in all 8 slots. You've to defeat 80 battles to win that sector. You've organised 8 players so that only 10 battles needed for each. Now here are the scenarios.

1) For easy reference, assume 1st slot is filled with 8 CE tanks, and all other slots with 8 CE AA. Your Players 1,3,7 were allocated 8 CE tanks and all other with remaining slots army.
2) To make it more clear, Players 1,3,7 were fighting against 1st slot of defense army but not against 1st health point of 1st slot's defense army. Even if players 1,3,7 were able to defeat the enemy at same time, it would not result in error, it would be taken in count so that 1st slot will be down to by 3 health points making it down to 7.
3) But it doesn't mean all the other players fight against 8 CE AA will be taken into account based on the type of army. Every battle is tied to the slot which you're fighting so all battles in the same slot will be taken into account until the slot's defense becomes to 0.
4) To explain that case, consider three players were fighting against only 1 slot (assume all other slots were defeated) which has only 2 health points, the result will be taken into account for the fastest 2 players who finishes it first, and a simple popup will appear for 3rd player stating that the army is defeated by other players.

So you'll not be experiencing this problem until same players were fighting for a particular slot but the slot health is less than the number of players fighting against it.
