Looking at the MMR stats for L that is certainly the case for my current battleground, although start positions are random. Not that it's helping them in any way

My start positions are different from those in the previous screenshot but that's because there is a different number of guilds

Highest MMR at the 11 o'clock position then going anti-clockwise in descending MMR order (I think)

Yeah, looks like it, just realised looking over GBG maps. So colour and placement are both decided over MMR. But that also means the top MMR guild always has the lowest MMR guild north of them.

It was a waste of space anyway except for very new low level guilds

Exactly, hence why it should be buffed anyway for the people who still use them for some reason. Def is useless quickly.

HoF still very valuable, 570 crowns a day so over the same 11 day time scale as GbG thats 6270 crowns which is more crowns than 2nd place in diamond league, only 1st place gives more at 546k which across 80 players is 6625 crowns per player.
HoF is priority building to be motivated so its always motivated, hence a SAM hof is worth 570 a day

my SOH only provides 500 crowns and is 4x3 as against the HoF at 3x3.

my x4 SoH's on lvl1 Iron Age produce 300-600 Guild Power Daily (plus the other FP's etc) Thats x2 The Iron Age map on GvG isn't it ?
HoF is still Valluable but as time passes it will be replaced with SoH or at least thats what the math say.

Yes 100% right as we have always started at 11 oclock, but why do we always have to be grey for home guild

says someone whos never fought across 8 guilds, suspect this might be true only for 5 guild GbG battles

What's wrong with grey? I find it easy to pick out amongst all the colours
