A zoom feature would be nice on both the new and the old map.
Makes no sense to use the browser zoom that makes all text and everything else too tiny.
A zoom feature should "remember" the last zoom position, of course, like it does with the city zoom, so it doesn't jump back to a default zoom level every time you go to to GBG map.

This is what it looks like on my desktop monitor with 1920x1080 resolution:

100% browser zoom

100% agreed. I can barely see 1/4 of the map on my laptop screen

Coins and supplies for awards? What, no medals? ::rolleyes::
Are the personal rewards after a fight/negotiation the same as on the old map?No, we have a completely new set of personal rewards to be gained on the new Map (Water Archipelago). Play to find out more!

It's silly you can't see the flag with the progress on a sector when the sector name is toggled on.

Why not put all the top fighting guilds in the same league, It's so unfair having 2 guilds with over 70 players and the rest 20/30 players. when the top 2 guilds just swap sectors every 4 hours and as always Inno don't really care because they spend diamonds. You really need to have a look at the ranking system.. On jaims Int server you have say 7/8 gbg guilds just put them together let them fight it out, then lower guilds with lower players can go head to head against each other fairly. Come on Inno stop being greedy.

Size doesn't matter unless you like GbG agreements.

Why would this be fair at all? Guilds fighting the same opponents week after week after week. Completely boring. If a lesser guild can obtain enough VP to play with the 'big boys', then let them prove that they belong. If they do not belong, they get knocked back down, as they should. If they do belong, then congrats to them, they deserve to be with the top teams..
Inno being greedy? What is greedy about that in the least?

I wouldn't help. Sector swapping, checkerboarding is not only done in Diamond league by a few top guilds with 70+ members. It has become a common playstyle. Lower ranked guilds with fewer members in lower leagues do it too.

Sure enough. It's definitely annoying to be pinned by sector swappers, but if you are not able to compete with the guilds you're put in league with, you don't belong in that league. It's "fair" to get pushed down to a league where you can compete.

The change to the GBG is utterly terrible, it hasnt solved the problem of the imbalance between guilds, 1) getting coins and supplies in return for your goods and troops being spent is utter pants 2) the imbalance between guilds selected is awful, and so extreme that you can spend the entire battleground penned in to your home and unable to get out as the big guilds just roll over everything with the difference in the rate of fighting that can be achieved it means that you can never maintain your position and you go down a league, then because its so imbalanced you are then way more powerful than the others and then you go up a league... only to go back down again because he balance is not right.... the new BG is not balanced, and at the moment Im thinking of quiting is so pants.. Why doesnt inno do something to change the power structure... like for example the more sectors you hold the shorter the lock out is, so that the smaller ones can get a chance to take those sectors back? and definitely stop giving coins and supplies instead of fragments and fps

Seems to be this discussion is getting obtuse, and the original post might more correctly have said what's "fun" about it, not fair. yeah 10-20 member guilds don't want to compete with the super 70-80 member guilds, but because the league system doesn't really separate guilds, they all end up on 1000 LP and get forced to sit and watch 2 bigger guilds pin the whole board for 2 weeks, before they can get put back down to platinum, or at least a lower diamond board, where they are better matched.

It's about the matching being boring, frustrating, or just annoying, depending on if you're one of the guilds that gets to sit and watch one season, and then the next season take over the whole board and pray for anyone else to move -- because guilds are so polarized into massive farming guilds of mostly space age players, and those who sort of dabble in battlegrounds or have mixed players of all ages and more limited attack boosts, and there's not much in between.

After 2 years, Innogames has only seemed to be able to come up with a ranking system that pushes anyone with a pulse up to the top of diamond, and matching guilds randomly or sorting them by guild ID (which was even worse.) I don't know what's so mind-bogglingly hard about coming up with a way to measure the number of advances (fights/negotiations) completed each season and average that in with number of times finishing 1st, number of times finishing 4th, etc., to achieve or more realistic ranking system that brings more equitable matches to players who are supposedly "in the same league."

But hey at least we got a newly colored map? Though that was kind of the least of the issues with the game play that have been raised. Pinning itself is a flaw in the game, fights should degrade over time, how realistic is it that if you siege someone and then stop fighting for a day your siege remains exactly as it was all that time? free attrition is way overpowered and way too easy to get. guilds who get trapped into their HQ still have a very hard time breaking out because the guild holding the 'high ground' with all the camps can keep pinning them in practically for free. Blah blah blah, none of the issues have been dealt with, it was simply given a new coat of paint.

You can probably see who are in a big farming guilds and who arn't heard it all the other day when guilds set alarms throughout the night just to farm point. Same as cheating Bots & macros don't exsist accourding to Inno. I bet they don't even check the forums. I can't believe the big players who have left the game because of gbg

There's nothing "wrong" as such about teaming up with other guilds to swap and farm every 4th hour. It's not a breach of any rules. It's just a smart way to get the most out of GBG. An exploit of how GBG works maybe, but it's not cheating. No doubt though that some of the players in the top guilds cheat by using bots or macros.
Why should the strong swapper guilds - even if some of their members cheat - care about the weaker guilds that get almost nothing? Blame it on Inno who makes it possible.

The only good part to the giant map with all the sectors is that - The Siege Camp Guilds are getting their inventories hammered - GREAT - I think that was the real intent on the "New" Battlegrounds anyway.

Example of number of sectors and building slots next to home base:

Guild 1: 4 sectors - 1, 2, 0, 1 building slots
Guild 2: 4 sectors - 1, 1, 0, 1 building slots
Guild 3: 4 sectors - 1, 0, 2, 1 building slots
Guild 4: 4 sectors - 1, 1, 1, 1 building slots
Guild 5: 3 sectors - 0, 1, 0 building slots
Guild 6: 4 sectors - 1, 1, 2, 0 building slots
Guild 7: 4 sectors - 1, 2, 1, 1 building slots
Guild 8: 4 sectors - 0, 2, 0, 0 building slots

Doesn't seem quite fair. But I guess it's because we're the guild with only 3 sectors and 1 building slot.

Why are coins and supplies a reward for gbg fights on the new map? Its just extra clicks for basically nothing. Its annoying enough that if you have a 2 wave battle, you click Attack, auto, auto ok ok attack, auto auto ok ok (Having to move locations multiple times amongst the lag of the game), just to do one attack each repeated 5 clicks and since we still don't have preset armies even longer when we have to swap out for full health units.

Anyone else noticing a lot more six Negotiation options? I was recycling before on six's due to all zones around us requiring six, but each time they all still required six. Seen others complain in game so was just wondering if its bad luck to a lot of people.

Also map seems heavily reliant on you watching middle every four hours, if you are in middle with another strong guild its a lot easier on this map to just be stuck in middle for days, as the outer borders require you to gain hundreds of attrition to get anywhere whereas the middle is all 0 att gain zones. So much worse then the previous map where we'd start sometimes with 2 build slots next to HQ, now you can be surrounded with 0 build slots.

I do like you can see zone names now with a single click (Actually amazed its a single click) but of course to set it back is another click, instead of just showing both and having the option just add the names?

Matchmaking is still terrible, still fighting the same guilds day in day out since GBG released. Why? Why not make it server based so things can really be shaken up? Quite tired of seeing like single person guilds get to 1k diamond rank and basically do nothing for an entire round, just a matter of time for strong guilds to all be placed in matches where they take the map and no one else is taking anything, as if they were all in bronze league. Matchmaking for GBG continues to be utterly terrible.

Why also with the new building? Now both will take twice as long to build up, was this just to slow down people capping out their Hall of fames? Will take ages for new players to max out either building now. Months and months for a single one. The garden chain is still terrible, why put a 2x3 giving 5% bonus when a 1x1 gives 4% and can go anywhere? But hey, at least the Elephant gives atk boost so there is that.

Feedback so far, honestly the worst part is the HQ's I see surrounded by 0 build slot zones, they can be held back to their HQ so extremely easily this gbg map compared to the other one with no chance of pushing out. I feel for the weaker guilds.
