Why should we have to wait another 10 mins to be matched, the matching could be done earlier so everything is in place at the appointed start time, it's bad enough waiting 20 mins to see who your opponents are in GE, let alone GBG, come on guys, start changing things for the better, not the worse

You are not waiting to be matched. You are already matched. Change is that all battlegrounds do not start at the same time, so the load on the servers is spread.

Change GBG too. Inno already introduced GE5. So why not make GBG more interesting. SC's rule the game in diamond, we even swap for them. Why not make them less powerful so things like traps etc and the additional attrition become more fun. It's getting boring always playing on SC boards...

That's already being tested on beta.
 
Same as before. League Points. The update doesn't change anything for match-making, it just delays the start by upto 10 minutes to reduce the lag.
Before it was not only league points but also guild ID played the role. It was easy to predict groups with 100% certainty in advance. Now it is allegedly random, one pot are guilds with 1000 LP, another pot remaining diamond guilds with random placement within those pots.

When Guild Battlegrounds was originally released it was League Points > Random. Then it was League Points > Guild ID for a few months before reverting back to random

However the Random is only after League Points if you've got more than 8 Guilds with the exact same League Points, due to each island only supporting 8 Guilds

Pity that 6 guilds with 20 or less players have to face 2 guilds with 80 plus players....seems unfair
