[GUIDE] How to use message system

DeletedUser

Currently there are many options to adjust and keep clean inside your mailbox (Desktop Version) may add an Android version if there would be a demand.

To enter the message window you need to click rounded icon in your bottom left part of window:
Entering chat options.JPG

You will get a new window with all your messages "Message Center":
1.JPG

You might have 3 types of icons there:
A personal Icon - it means the thread is just a single person message.
Icon like most of the visible threads above - which means its a group message.
Or a while Flag - and thread will change its name to "Aborted message" which means you were removed from group message or all participants left.

And the latest addition - leave thread button in Message Center:
1 - leaving the thread.jpg

Now when you enter the message itself the options bar would show you 3 different menus depends what type of message it will be.
  • Single person message
Single person message options.JPG

  • Group message with administrator privileges
Group message - Administrator role.JPG

  • Group message without administrator rights
Group message - Non administrator role.JPG

Single message are quite obvious - you can go back to Message Center or leave the thread (and by doing it the message will be aborted for the other side).

Group Message without administrator role will give you a new window in which you cannot do much. Actually you can just leave the thread:
Options available to non-admin.JPG

As you can see all other options are greyed out.

Now the fun begins when you have the admin privileges. The window looks like this:
Options available to admins.JPG

Options are colored and you receive few additional options. As well as two additional Buttons in the bottom. Close means cancel the changes you have just done. Save - well its obvious - to save the changes you have done to the thread.

Because of technical reasons - Admin Roles will be added in second post.

Administrator role options:
  1. You can add all guild members (if you have sufficient rights in your guild)
    2. Options available to admins - Adding all guild members.jpg
  2. You can add players manually one by one using their name
    2. Options available to admins - Adding players manually.jpg
  3. you can Add or remove administrator rights in this thread (be warned - each administrator can add or remove the administrators of the thread - including removing the creator of the thread):
    2. Options available to admins - Adding thread administrator rights.jpg
    2. Options available to admins - Administrator icon.jpg
  4. Removing players from the thread:
    2. Options available to admins - Removing member from the thread.jpg
  5. Changing subject title of the thread:
    2. Options available to admins - Changing thread name.jpg

Additional information that are rather obvious but just as a statement:
  1. Removing person from the thread will remove it from just this one particular thread - All other threads, guild membership, privileges etc remain intact.
  2. Giving Administrator role: Will allow that player to do all the described options above in THIS PARTICULAR THREAD - and nowhere else. Including removing players or disabling admin roles. (well if that would be a hostile takeover a thread - you can just start a new one without that person OR without the admin rights)
  3. Removing administrator role: is available to ALL administrators not only the creator of the thread. For example If you would give administrator role to a different player - he or she can remove your admin rights to this particular thread. (It might sound dangerous but in fact is not - the worst what can happen is that you will have to leave old thread and start a new one)
  4. Of course it does not apply to lets say GVG planning - make sure you give the admin rights there only to players who you really DO trust. Imagine someone to remove all current members and add all opponents - which can see not only strategy but as well as timing of posting. It MIGHT result in a lost battles.
