gifting

Some of us (old timers) have artwork gifts from an old event.
I kept Zeppelin and others were also available (Mayan Pyramid? ) .
. . . mk

I would love to see gifting introduced, but you can't have a situation where a Tomorrow player is gifting advanced buildings to Iron Age players. There needs to be parameters. Maybe gifts can only be given to people of that era, and only to people who win a reward spot on your GB.
Just a thought.

Those artworks may look awesome but can you actually give them as a gift to someone? I doubt. I think you should be able to send buildings, goods, FPs, coins/supplies and so on to people in your friend/guild list. Let's say once in a week for each player. Or let's say -A player can receive up to *number* of gifts per week-

hm?

you can do that already
FP to a GB
and goods via trading (the other need only 1 of something and with doubling you can trade it up high: after 10 trades you are at 1024)

you want gifting or rewards ?

because rewards aren't gifts anymore
gifts are something where you don't get something back for it

Gifting results in selling items for real money outside the game. Think about SoK offerings on ebay. This whole tool will create a black market of forgepoints packages, event items, and guild expedition rewards. I would say, great idea to introduce gifting. It gives me some extra real life income and that would be awesome.

Since some people may consider this a bad thing (the black market), I suggest a gift should be given only if the other person gives you another gift in return, otherwise it should not be possible. Also, randomizing the gifts is also a prevention of the black market. I personally don't care about the "black market" thing but my experience says it may screw up the gameplay a little.

give gifts of rail guns to all of my guild who just got to FE would be a must

How would the first gift start then or would it be removed after a certain period of time if a return gift (i assume it would have to be of equal value which is a whole other type of mess to work out)

that "gifting" will then be a trade

player A offers what he has and sets what he wants on a new market
player B must have what player A wants and then can accept that TRADE

settlers online has such a market where you can trade everything against everything (even special buildings)

How old are you exactly? Please be honest.

Let's say I wanna make a gift to one of my friends in the list. I click a button, I send gift. Then my friend gets an "invitation" saying: Hey, your stupid friend wants to give you a gift! Click here to view!
Then he clicks and he sees my gift. Then he clicks on the button "Return the gift to receive yours"
Then he chooses a fckin' tree [or anything that is in his inventory] and clicks the nice green button. Both happy.

If he doesn't have something to give me, then no gift for the naughty and lazy boys.

Also, just a suggestion: A player can make a gift of a building or a soldier which he has built/trained only if both players are in the same age or the person that would receive the gift is higher age.
Of course, arranging all (I mean literally all possible gifts) in some way [value/types/age] would make the things easier for the developers AND of course for us, the crowd.

This is something that was originally planned but will not happen as the gifting issue is prone to abuse
