New Bug: GBG - zero supporting sectors but this progress banner hasnt disappeared

FingerOfFate

Private
GBG Rugnir (Diamond league) today.
A5B theres a "purple" attack progress banner with no "purple" neighbouring sectors. Its hanging on with nothing but my "white" home sector and then othing but "red" sectors around it
How does that survive being marooned there when normally banners that suffer cut off support disappear.
I've closed the browser, refreshed the screen and still that cut off progress stays which makes me think its a bug not my cache.

yup very old bug, had to scroll back a year to find the last time I had a post about it though:
https://forum.en.forgeofempires.com/index.php?threads/gbg-glitch.47047/post-473283

This bug has been reported for 5 years. There is not a fix (though they have tried) and you will have to live with it.

It happens (as far as I can tell from 5 years of discussions) when someone gets disconnected from the game while in the middle of a manual battle or negotiation, this leaves the sector in some kind of active state and the flag/pin remains active in the Battleground while they are disconnected, even if the sectors around it are all lost while they are trying to reconnect, the flag where they were stays active.

If you yourself have ever been disconnected in the middle of a battle, you have seen the chance to continue the fight when you reconnect; until that happens, the GBG flag stays.
