Not a Bug: GBG double wave attacks not paying correct number of victory points for battles

When the GBG was introduced it payed out the correct number of points for double wave attacks. At some later date the number of points received was greatly reduced, providing fewer points than if a single wave defense was defeated.

Attached are some screen shots to demonstrate:

Single wave defense (1833 points received)

Double wave defense (first wave completed)

Double wave defense (second wave completed, 1650 total points received)

You can see from the above screen shots killing 8 enemy troops in a single wave netted 1833 points, while an immediately following attack killing 12 enemy troops in a double wave netted only 1650 points total, less than merely doing a single wave.

most likely you'll get answered that this ain't a bug
as a note, the age of the tournament is also taken exclusively from the second wave. If all of your highest age troop(s) dies in the first wave and is not revived then you’d get points for whatever the next highest age troop would be for the second wave

No it didnt
The 2 wave battle has never paid the correct amount
When it was 1st introduced a player could abort a battle between waves and receive pts as if they won the fight
Their fix was to not include the 1st battle and just double the pts for second fight
This sometimes ends up that a 2 wave fight will have less pts than a single wave fight

On a two wave attack you get double the points of the second wave. It has been like that for years.

I would think that the correct way to fix that exploit would be to not award points if somebody aborts a battle.

Impossible, cause you also get points when you lose a battle.

This need a fix for shure. Will post in ideas section, and maybe Inno will fix it after so many years.
