GB updates on Beta

If costs of GB raise ( and should) Then the income from them should goes up in the same ratio.
That's the main problem with the update really. Not the only problem, but the biggest detractor. If they had proportionally increased the output to match or exceed the cost increase, then the update would make sense from a desire to have the buildings perspective even with such high costs. Then the only barrier would be figuring out how to obtain the resources.

GB's used to be the most important. The whole problem are insainly good event buildings that made GB's irrelevant. If costs of GB raise ( and should) Then the income from them should goes up in the same ratio.

GB's were never the most important. Only some GB's were and that became less when they changed their value and removed the level cap. That was long before strong event buildings.

I finally pulled the plug on GB's and only kept my Oracle (locked at 100) and my Blue Galaxy opened to 400. While some Gb's are still interesting to have when going through the ages, LoA/SMB and ToR for farms they are simply obsolete (even with the buffs) compared to event and QI stuff.

While I agree with you that GB's are still obsolete after the upodate, I do not agree with the ones you claim are still interesting, or your reasoning. It all depends on how you play and the effort you want to put in to it.

Not for brand new players as they need to learn and understand the game but if you want to start a new town on another world one of the bottlenecks is coins and supplies. That's why LoA and SMB are interesting to keep up a decent pace aging up till AF. Of course as you mentioned it always depends on each other's playing style and the purpose of a new town.

If you are active and know what you are doing there isn't a bottleneck. With a new Event about every month and all other options you have, you will already be up and running before you have reached LOA or SMB.

Just start a new city and you might be surprised. It isn't how it used to be.

One of the big issues on beta is how much 1.9 threads have slowed down because it takes SOOO much longer to level a GB. And the impact for new players is that its much harder to obtain blueprints. Many old players (myself included) have quit beta as a result of the 'update' and many new players are disillusioned with how hard it is to progress due lack of BPs

1.9 threads are a player invention. They are not part of the game, so they have no influence on any decision regarding GB's.

might be but that just shows how much INNO know and care about how their player base view the game

They know and they don;t have to care. Same as players camping in Iron Age. They know about it and they know they miss out on things. That isn't how they believe the game should be played, so there is no reason for them to care.
