Friends tavern overriding

Friends tavern is not user friendly. Each time kicking me out from tavern screen to city view by selecting any one of the boost/item listed on it. Have to open second time to see if choice is correctly done or to spend 50 diamonds for one more item selection. Also, no use of checking correctly done. If it is wrong, have to live by that until the timer finishes. No option to reject where the tavern window closes immediately after single/first selection itself.

Guessing like purposefully Game Devs made users thrown out from friends tavern screen, because IMO adding reject option leads to more confusion/misuse. If that's the case, it is the only place where users get little mercy on spending diamonds due to having less chance of users opening friends tavern second time after selecting the first item.

Not sure how it behaves in PC, but for mobile it is happening like this.

Is this intentional behaviour of friends tavern or mobile behaving wrongly with new update, no idea.

Difficult to say anything regarding because need to study all the update announcement to figure out what are the changes implemented in friends tavern. Only mods or game legends can answer this.

Myself never worried about that behaviour till today because after selecting one item, understood like my job is over from there and won't be spending 50 diamonds for sure.

My expectation was also like come out quickly on city view after selecting the item where mostly used 750silver of 30mins attack boost and 1500silver of 15mins Guild expedition extra turn. In both of these cases, timer starts running and next focus be on GE or GBG. So, if the tavern doesn't push out, boost timer is getting wasted until coming out of it. It is my example view on it.

No option to reject where the tavern window closes immediately after single/first selection itself.
Big question on timer like when will get started. Is it from the moment item got selected or after closing the tavern. It only makes sense after closing the tavern because no point of seeing timer running down there itself. Bringing reject option would be nice but it cannot behave like antiques dealer because tavern control or monitor city buildings and collections where antique dealer does not need to worry about it.

Myself didn't gave a clear answer but gave some understanding on it. Hope it helps.

Why cannot have two buttons like "apply" and "apply & close". Till clicking any of the button, user can pick any one item(just like marking/selecting). If they want to change to some other item, they can easily switch to other item like a toggle behaviour(where timer not started yet). Here only solution for rejection is by providing separate buttons do the action.

"Apply" button can be used when user marking or selecting the first item and wished to stay in the tavern screen for opting second item with 50diamonds. Timer gets started immediately after selecting the apply button and makes the user staying in the same tavern window. So before clicking the apply button, user can see the visual mark for the selected tavern item in which user gets a indication to make any corrections.

"Apply and close" button can be used when the user happy with one choice itself and doesn't want to see the 50 diamonds section at all. Same like current behaviour, timer started and tavern window got closed.

After selecting 50diamonds, if user click apply button, user can able to see both timer in the tavern screen itself. Then, user has to close it manually, and apply and close button can be change to just "close" or can be disappeared to push the user for closing it manually. Both ways will work fine.

Only after clicking the buttons, timer gets triggered. Once clicked, user cannot undo it. IMO, bringing those button will be huge benefit for mobile users who are having big fingers (especially thumb finger).

Also, every tavern item having selection button which can be removed. Instead of hovering each item to display the buttons, have a clear view of which item got picked and applied.

Believing like timer problem also solved and friends tavern become user friendly. Am not asking to bring the reject option for an item in which timer already started. (That is bad and cause confusion). Concerning only on making the selection from our side, also it should not jump without our control.

This is possible but to make it friendly two buttons displaying and giving more clicks to the user, worries me little.

There is already an over-abundance of clicks required to do anything in this game - and you just want to keep adding more clicks for no real reason, other than in case of an "oops"? If you click and select wrong, then own it like an adult, let the boost expire naturally, or pay the 50 diamonds. Do not need more clicking, or babysitting from the game.

Hmm, that's the only part which worries me also. Sometimes to prevent something, have to take a long or difficult path.

In mobile, babysitting can be seen in many places. From GBG finishing one fight/negotiation and suddenly same sector dialog opting for doing one more fight or negotiate. In any battlefield from the game, order of the army units gets picked up automatically to progress the fight. Moving the army units faster in a battle field. Auto battle button itself. All these you can call it improvements or babysitting. It's up to the individual perception.

To own the mistake like an adult is possible if no other possible approach can be done. Smart way is to prevent the possibility of 'oops' moment. Also, in the game so many clicks and having this too will not affect anything from our game. It is a one time action of clicking the button in tavern window.

**Smart way is to prevent the possibility of oops moments**?? That is getting very close to the definition of what babysitting is all about. If you are so worried about 'accidently' clicking the wrong button, then perhaps you try something more to your speed, like Sudoku, where you can erase your error and start again.

Unfortunately, second slot available with 50diamonds in the friends tavern. Not like 10 diamonds on GE or GBG extra negotiation. In my view, 50diamonds is a cover up to support the existing behaviour in which the user does not opt for the second slot easily. If it is allowed with tavern silver for second slot, surely everyone might have shouted for the same babysitting approach. What to do, have to live with current behaviour only.
