...at least on beta, they got Winner's Plaza kits, so fingers crossed INNO have learned their lesson and don't go and pull another Checkmate Square clusterfeth on us. ;)

I guess for those that missed out on last year's event, there's also OT kits, and a single use of the ultimate coach should easily net a player the required 10 kits for a fully leveled Treasury

That's how it is, half the output of a carousel but needing more space

Tbh, it could be stronger but at least we have a set going in that direction now that does not require roads. Had the Train and the Track go one way, now this is horizontal, opens up more options

Although, I do wish they were smaller, why the first horizontal one we get is 5 vertical is annoying haha. Train cars were nice and tidy and the tracks could fit four an expansion, this only being <2 an expansion is quite the space requirement. 20 spaces for 2 bonuses instead of 16 spaces for 8 bonuses. In the end the space requirements make them worse then the tracks are for fp and bonuses by far, like did they forget that the tracks bonuses doubled? (with an awesome animation the longer your track). Could get 24% defence boost to attacking armies with tracks, or now 16% defence boost for attacking armies... using 4 more spaces...

Just fitting in a five is a whole lot harder then fitting in a 4 or 3

Some thoughts based on beta play:

Terracotta Vineyard is plunderable, and only gets motivated with regular buildings (no special resources from motivating). Despite that, still not terrible for new cities, or those in desperate need of a short-term supply boost.

Fields, however, seem useless for all but newest cities.
  • Terracotta Vineyard + Cypress Pass vs Abandoned Asylum: both with 25 tiles, but AA has better Atk (8% vs 18% in LMA). And AA's atk scales up with age, CP doesn't.
  • Terracotta Vineyard + Olive Grove vs Olympic Treasury: OT only 22 tiles, same FPs, and a bonus that also scales up.
  • The 2020 fall event's fields had better per tile stats, though bonuses don’t scale up either
I'm going for colossus upgrades, and AD'ing the main buildings.

It seems Inno have made a decision to stop or slow the power creep in recent months/years by giving us two events in a row with underwhelming main prizes. I can understand why they’d want to do this but it means established players will only be interested in the daily prizes. That’s fine, if they do actually provide winners plaza kits then some players will spend big to get the most efficient “common” building around, and sentinel outposts are always desirable.

Is this feedback or a comment? /shrugs

Sequential quest was beyond easy - smoked it in about 14hrs without even trying.

Terracotta Vineyard is hot garbage, I mean, let's not even pretend here - this thing is literal 'poop tier' levels of absolute trash!:P
...the fields are even worse, as if that was even possible.

I mean, c'mon, what kind of idiots do the devs take us for? Have they forgotten that they gave us the Leukoi Tracks already, which give 6%def for attacking armies when attached to both ends of the Hippodrome?
Okay, so newbies who missed the Soccer event in June/July obviously don't have any Hippodrome to speak of... so what? It's only what, 5-6 months until the next Soccer event where we'll almost certainly see Hippodrome selection kits?!
As we're telling the couple new guys in our guild on N-world, "just be patient and don't waste space on this dumpster fire."

At least the dailies make up for the useless 'grand prize'... Olympic Treasury kits easily replace anything even new cities could get from the Vineyard disaster, plus there's Winner's Plaza kits & Colossus kits, and even the Alter Garden kits will give some atk% boost for the tiniest cities who might not want to spend on a 3x3 or 4x4 just yet.;)

Overall the event is "worth" chasing down the OT/WP kits, but we need *MUCH* better main prizes if INNO expects any of us to throw actual money at this.

Yeah exactly, the Leukoi tracks are hilariously better then the insane 10 space new chain buildings. (I feel like they forgot that the tracks bonuses were all doubled)

Glad at least the dailies are still great, just like the Christmas event, but it is weird to me they have given us 2 terrible main buildings in a row now. The Terracotta Vineyard needs to be buffed quite a lot to be worth it. A supply bonus? The moment you get a HC (which most should get even if you don't fight) you end up with millions of supplies you will never use. Its both not going to help you now and not an investment for later while taking up a lot of space while including even worse space requirement chain links.

I do wonder if people are still paying for the dailies, and then just ignoring or AD'ing the main prize, but its def not like last year where we had people on S with entire cities of AA and trains.

Buff the vineyard!

The event it's self seems reasonable, plenty of bonuses to be had.
Seems a bit of a cheat that the choices do not always go the full distance they state, especially if you have used the 100+ ball option to then have it only go the same distance as the 70 ball option.
The main building being offered, The terracotta vineyard...bit on the large size?
As to the fields...they are massive...far too big!
There is already so much to squeeze into the finite space a city has, and to introduce these huge, questionably worth it, additions...is asking too much?
Even those who have acquired most of the available land, I doubt will want these land hungry fields.....as to beginners, how will they manage to fit them in?

The size of the buildings is irrelevant - it's their stats that truly matter and will ALWAYS dictate is a building is worth placing or not.

ie: The Hippodrome is also excessively large, especially as you add in more and more bonus tracks to it. BUT! the bonuses it give per tile are extremely good and thus, many, many players will find a way to squeeze it in.
Note that for example, the 1x4 Leukoi Track is only out preformed by the stupidly OP Sentinel Tower, as it's 3%def boost is added to *both* ends of the Hippodrome for a total of 6%def. (or else 1.5%def per tile)
Now, if that same building gave say, only 1%def, then no one in their right mind would ever use it, since it would fall into 'Poop Tier' territory of only .5%def per tile. (ie: it would be even worse than the already awful Vineyard fields!)

Everyone and their mother went crazy for the Gov's Villa, many even spending actual $$$ to chase down 3-4+ of them, simply because despite it's large 5x5 size, it gave a pile of atk% AND additional troops + fps.

Honestly, if Inno were to boost the Vineyards by just doubling the values of the Fields themselves, people would instantly go from laughing at this dumpster fire, to throwing their wallets at it. :P
(ie: 8% -> 16% boost = .8%/tile -> 1.6%/tile, which is slightly better than the highly touted Hippodrome:P)

Its worked out perfect so far for me, upgraded sentinel.. check.. 6 plaza kits.. check.. 2 athletes quaters.. check, worth more than main prize already, now to sit and wait for some lvl1 sentinels :D

The Terracotta Vineyard needs to be buffed quite a lot to be worth it.
5x3 = 8FP's + 1 Track = 5x5 = 12 FP's (+Goods etc) , better than a Terrace Farm, with motivation option so no plundering.
attack ? ok, crap on per tile efficiency but cheap as hell in diamonds means ?

Okay, not terrible if someone really needs goods, but just to play Devil's Advocate...
St. Paddy's 2021 main prize - Lv10 Druid Temple:
5x4 size
20 goods
14-28%def for attacking army
- 40% chance daily for 25fps
- 40% chance daily for 25 goods
- 15% chance daily for medals
- 5% chance daily for supplies

...only stinker there is the odd day you'll land supplies of all things, but it's basically a slightly smaller Crow's Nest trading out better fp production for a solid def% boost. ;)
