you tell me FoE helper does what i ask and say i should use that

No I didn't. I told you it does what you ask and THAT you are using it. How is that defending it, or telling people to use it? How is knowing how something works mean that you use it? Since when has it become impossible of knowing how something works without using it? I know how cars work. Don't have one. You just don't make sense at all.

I voted no.

Knowing what stuff is where in your city or inventory is part of the game and city management strategy. Also flat mode is already more than enough to find the building(s) you are looking for in case you don't remember where you did put them down. May be spent a little less time click click in GbG and take some time to care of the layout of your city.

well can we agree to dissagree and keep this thread clean so we can talk about if INNO needs to implement this instead

It would be nice if flat mode came with a search function, but that has already been suggested as feedback for flat mode. Same as adding flat mode to reconstruction mode.

So there really is no need to talk about it.

i do take care of it and flatmode ain't good enough you need to hover over and when you come out of flat mode you need to remember in wich area it is and find it wich aint always easy i dont like it when every identical buildings are in a row city aint pleasant to look at when they are all in a row you might like your city all planed out with every similar building side by side but thats not my case

There is nothing wrong with this. There is just no need for you to propose it. It has already been proposed and if staff do what they say they do then the devs have taken notice of it.

Proposal: implement a way to find a specific building
i stoped creating ideas for idea section a while ago cause INNO does not listen to us most of the time but would love this to be implemented now that my city is becoming huge

Have you checked the forums for the same or similar idea : yes did not find anything like this

Reason: with all these stupid ascended buildings that are only temporary we need to manage a bit more our citys by eather selling , storing or keeping em till we get kit to ascend them again and that can take time i hate ascended buildings , INNO should implement something to find a specific building in our citys i tryed to find my nutcrackers the other day only found 2 i have 3 never found 3rd passed at least an hour looking for em with big citys this is even worst
sure we can always re-do city to find building but re-doing a huge city can take as long as time i passed looking for it
( the 2 by 2 building i was looking for )

Details: i'd say add a place where you can type name of building
once typed and you hit enter buton building would flash ( maybe add a colour to the flash so you know it's not a incident ) like incidents flash on roads when your mouse pointer passes next to it

Visual Aids: none

Balance/Abuse Prevention: none needed cant realy be abused
I think this is an absolutely excellent idea. I've wanted a function like this for ages. I hope the developers can adopt a feature like this in an future update.

I use FOE Helper. Open the Building Efficiency Rating and click the eyeball thing to the right of the building(s) you're looking for. A map opens up with the selected building location(s) flashing.

It's really about time that Inno implemented an official "FOE Helper" of their own that can be used across all platforms and is integral with the game, but I like this idea, having the largest city possible and full of buildings, I can only remember about 70% of what and where the smaller buildings are, this will be a help, as I play on the App version I cannot use 3rd party software, so any additional tools inno implements are usually a bonus, ( not all sadly, some of them are useless ), come on Inno, help players with extra tools not continously changing game features that make the overall game worse

The 3rd party tool you mention has a nice overview map, similar to what Inno implemented with flat mode, except it's been there for years, and it has a lot of functions which help immensely, like:
-highlight buildings in your city that don't need roads
-highlight buildings in your city that are ascended / or decayed
-search function to highlight buildings you search by name right on the map

Got my condolences trying to play without it, slowly but surely, more people come around to my position that it's a nightmare to manage a city, let alone a guild, without all the tools for the job - tools that the 3rd party provided, but the game developer did not.

i only use helper for 1.9 rest of it i dont know how it works and yes 1h , the stupid nutcracker must be behind a building and frankly i dont have time to figure out what each options do in helper and your stupid reply is not constructive does not say if this is helpfull or not to players and as usual is just a comment done to Troll thread
get used to by this moron, he was once a mod and they got rid of him so he is on a mission to kick off at anyone who uses the forum, sour grapes and jealousy is ugly in people sadly this crackpot has those qualities in spades

on flat mode to see name of building you need to hover over to see description
In the app you have to manually tap on every building in flat mode and wait for the pop-up - which in the case of many of the newer event buildings, e.g. Squirrel Hall, can freeze the entire game for ten seconds or so each time while it calculates the pop-up window contents, and in the case of some special/event buildings never gives any pop-up at all (I think it is the ones that have a production option attached, so under 'normal', i.e. non-flat mode, circumstances would display available productions instead of permanent bonuses - but it basically means that you can't even tell whether tapping on a given unknown building will tell you its name or not).
This makes it an extremely laborious way of finding anything. Half the time what I want to know is whether I even own a specific building at all - there have been so many event buildings that I can't remember whether I have in the past managed to collect all the fragments to build them (or bothered to find city space for them)...
