Event Fellowship Event 2024: Feedback Thread

As I got used to it, I liked the Halloween cards, The next one not so much, can't even remember what they changed but it wasnt quite as good. The good news is cards have gone for Halloween and they've brought back the old summer wheel type style for Halloween.

They removed it because it was similar too gambling mechancis and apparently now it isn't so it's back.
I liked the moving along, fog-bound, find-a-pumpkin, watch-out-for-the-weirdy-bear version of Halloween.
IIRC, the same mechanic used to be in the archaeology one too.

I'm the oddball player who actually likes this event (and St Pats). But I was highly disappointed with this year's event - the game was fun (okay, yes, I'm weird - used to be a management consultant so this was right up my street, so to speak) but the rewards? Way too much junk and way too little opportunity to get the needed upgrades for the Whispering Whatever. I worked this one hard (or as hard as one can with 13 worlds) but in the end, the best I did was 3 upgrades and 2 sel kits. I'm not going to plonk down an event building unless I can take it to the top, but apparently to get this one, I'd have had to spend a king's ransom and have gone without sleep for a week or two. Sorry Inno, but upgrades to buildings we mostly all have (and are happy not to have a second one) doesn't make it worth the effort.

Even worse, the new AI-generated graphics (because any self-respecting artist would deny any claim to them) look so much like each other, I thought there were more upgrades but it turns out those were for something else, from a previous year.

Inno, please hire an artist and give your customers a chance to actually succeed for a change.

I can not agree with you. It was no problem getting the Whispering Whatever for free. Even without the Rival. Rival just made it easier. Maybe you should not play 13 worlds or at least focus on one.

With you mentioning selection kits I imagine you're been opening all chests at the end, Have you been trying to clear all tasks on each banquet too? Something has slowed your progress quite a lot.

There are several options for playing this, the main one to get the main building is to just power through as many towns as possible and completing the cheaper and easier quests before getting onto the next one. Rinse and repeat. I usually get a decent amount of upgrades doing that.

I swapped to the other option of completing minimal towns and opening all chests for this one though as I really cba with this event and wanted EEs. Still managed 5 whispering levels through the prize line and another 4 through the chests (Plus 50 silver lvl frags so I just FSP the level 8 building to finish the silver lvl and used a gold selection kit after. It was definately a slower pace I felt, but your results are a lot lower.

There were 3 strategies to follow. Escutcheon, Watermill or League. You had to pick one and focus on that. She probably did not do so.

I used the 4th one, completely ignore this event as I always do with St Patrick's and since the change Fellowship events. It's a very good and always successful strategy. ;-)

As a general feedback, the Fall Event 2024, event before this one, was the last one for this Year for me and I would be heavily and pleasantly surprised if the next event I'll truly partake in will be the Soccer 2025 or whatever will replace this Year Care for Tomorrow event. Surprise and prove me I'm being pessimistic dear Inno.

As others above noted, this Event was easy enough to get a fully levelled Event Building (not including Silver/Gold, but getting most of the fragments of those also was not a problem). Ended up with a couple extra upgrades, but nowhere near enough for a complete 2nd building. This Event though not great, is definitely much better than that highly over-used matching game.

Anniversary and Care for tomorrow (2) vs St Patrick's and Fellowship (2). There needs to be diversity in events so we can not only chose which ones we want to do but also for players like me, sad players as you once mentioned, spent on events. A bit for every player's fun and joy through diversity is the way to go.

Don't agree with that. It is just how you look at it. With the matching game luck is a factor, but you need to spend less time on it than with this one.

Not the way Inno is doing it. Their way of diversity is introducing the Rival and having you spend more and more time on the events if you are going for the main. By now there are plenty of mini games for every event to have it's own, but they are just repeating the same ones with nothing more than an adjustment to fit the event. It does not look like player reactions have anything to do with the reason why mini games are picked. If you ask me it is based on the money they bring in. Every event now comes with a league as well. League = money.

I hated this mechanic of this event when it first appeared as the St Paddy's day event several years ago, but by following mooingcats strategy, have successfully gained all buildings offered from that and the fellowship events to date, To say I love it is certainly an overstatement but I do look forward to it, as it is in my opinion, the best of all the event mini games, most of which at best, I find purile and childish..at worst...soul destroyingly boring and too much relying on chance not skill....this is certainly one which INNO got right, more of the same please ( thought provoking mechanics that is )
