Enable tooltip to show market trade expires time in mobile same as PC?

Proposal: To give the tooltip for market trade expire information on mobile.

Have you Checked the Ideas section for the same idea posted by someone else? Is this idea similar to one that has been previously suggested?
Yes, not seen similar results from my search (sorry if it has already).

Reason: Mainly for knowing the trade expires time in mobile to plan wisely in the city like which goods building to build or other approaches to focus for picking the trades with respective good. Technically, this will bring consistency too :).

Visual Aids/Details:
Same as PC,
market_tooltip.png

Balance: No worries, and available in PC too.

Abuse Prevention: No abuse.

Can you explain what knowing when a trade expires has to do with deciding what goods buildings to build?

Can you explain what knowing when a trade expires has to do with deciding what goods buildings to build?
Looking to get some goods from market trades, already available in the trade list and "needed" goods are not enough from the inventory stocks. So decided to go for that "need" goods buildings to obtain the total count required for receiving the "offer" goods from the market created by hood/friends/guild

Sometimes trades comes with current age or above age or below age or mix ( unfair ). So, not keeping few age goods building all the time. Mostly keeping two goods building from current age only. Some trades can be picked up if we have low age goods ready in hand. Either make a trade in guild thread or pick the hood/friend trade from market. To obtain few goods from other ages, building goods building is easy option if not having special building or great building to produce specific age required goods for making the trade.

Depending upon on our needs ( from quest or daily challenge), timer gives the indication whether the possibility is there or not for us to pick the trade.

So cause you can not get enough of a certain good on the market, you decide to build the goods building yourself. Still do not understand what seeing expiration dates has to do with that.

It is a market. Timer tells you when a trade expires. It does not tell you atrade will be picked up by someone else.

It is a market. Timer tells you when a trade expires. It does not tell you atrade will be picked up by someone else.
For example, if market has a trade like, EMA goods trade with LMA goods. User staying in HMA. So the trade is,
25 EMA goods needed to get the offer trade of 50 LMA goods. User city all buildings are upgraded with HMA.

By having 25 each goods of EMA can get LMA goods from market. Timer shows like 6 days left for the trade. So options to grab from the market is making our inventory stock has EMA goods. With 6 six days left, 24hr production of goods building give good amount of goods to match the trade. If no one picks the trade then good to grab when goods in hand. Not worry about who pick the trade. Till the trade available, I can push my city to give more goods to get the trade of higher age goods by having low age goods buildings.

Using the timer like indication of how much I can wait and store my goods to collect the trade. Also, anytime someone can grab the trade that's not worry much, but till it is available cannot grab is the worrying part. Having 3 EMA goods building built to match the count satisfied with the trade for 3 days and no one picked means it is a valid approach to grab it from the market. Assume, no timer displayed and did not aware when the trade disappears if no one picked. By knowing the timer, it gives a option to gather some goods from the city and move forward.

I fail to see how this idea makes much sense. There will be a constant flow of goods that you are looking for, more trades available one day, less trades available the next day, but basically there will constantly be trades available. Moreso at the lower Ages, as you have more players at the lower ages than higher ages (new players as well as older players starting new cities on other servers that will be camping in the lower ages).
Whether trades last for 1 day or 3 days, completely depends on the market and how many players are available that day, as well as other events - such as Daily Quests that require collecting goods (by producing or purchasing on the Market - and since everyone has varied Daily Quests each day, the players needing goods for this one particular reason will be higher or lower each day (not to mention all the players in the international markets with varying time zones, so technically 'day' is almost a misnomer to use as a period of time).
Also, 24 hour production is a poor production time to use, since two 8 hour productions give the exact same goods, so anyone trying to maximize their value will either do three 8 hour productions, or two 8 and one 4 hour production, depending on their playstyle and time availability.
So, produce whatever you can in your preferred timing mechanism and then go to the Market.
Also, unless you are trading goods in the market with people within your own guild, you are also having to pay GP for each and every transaction.
Also - if you are trying to deal very unfavorable trades (which is what your example is showing), chances are very good that your trades on the Market will expire. Trying to trade 1:2 upwards instead of 2:1 upwards is usually only something the desperate and/or misunderstanding players as well as those who accidently clicked the trade.
Which is why, to me, your entire premise makes little sense and would generally be a waste of programmers time.
Lastly - mobiles are difficult enough to see the shrunken information on the screen and to insert even more smaller information makes it even worse to look at, as well as the multiple problems of mis-clicking on something.

It is not difficult to show in the mobile. Same trade screen by touching the good (copper) icon, it will show tooltip for total count of that good. It is a small tooltip which works in PC and Mobile. So it is completely possible and not difficult.

And for other things stated, yes continuos flow of goods, but filters will help for locating the needed goods in the market and grab the possible ones. Just gave an example of 24hr cycle for max number 20 goods to retrieve. Users wish to perform how they want. If some chances are there to grab higher age goods, why miss it. Also, gave unfair trades example because easy to relate with timer concept. But timer will be available in general for every trade except auto created (0.1) trades.

Joining a good guild or having a friend who can share goods nicely then no trouble. That's not the point. Whoever makes the trade, showing the timer gives how long the trade can be available in the market. That's all. Why to ignore it, which can be seen easily like PC.

Felt little surprised for explaining the changes already available on PC to get it in mobile. Anyways, it's better to revisit the PC approach too. Guessing like, no one ever looked for the trade expire time on the PC. Just a feeling. Thought of raising as a bug, instead posted as an idea leads into big discussion. Could have asked a question like, what's the purpose of having market trade expiration timer in PC. If got the best answer, adding it as a reason to earlier question from @ICE makes things clean and simple.

Other question could be, if nobody uses it on PC, should it be added on the app?

I am in favor of having both platdforms as equal as possible, but it should make sense. Both platforms have functions I am glad are not on the other.

Consistency: voting yes
Is it necessary (pc or mobile): No
No impact
: yes
Dev complexity: looks like dev missed it or not interested to add it for mobile. No complexity.
Conclusion: Even without the timer, everything can be performed as it is. If the timer tells like expiring after 30minutes, no guarantee for the trade cannot be picked for 30minutes. OP reason for goods building is illusional hope, not a guaranteed one. Why to risk or spend time on something which will get lost without our knowledge. Actually, It gives a thought for new discussion, but sure it will be a disturbing from current approach which is like locking the other users trade in the market. Anyways it is slightly off topic from original content, will ask in a separate discussion. If OP fine to discuss in the same thread, can continue here since it is highly related with the idea.

Sounds interesting on locking the trade. But cannot take calls on the idea thread to continue topic like this. If mods are fine to discuss here, no objection from my side.
