2. Checking Your Email is Correctly Registered.

It is very easy for us all to make typing errors, so if you are having trouble finding the validation email, the first thing you should check is that your email has been correctly registered. Navigate to the profile menu (detailed here).

Check that the email address is correct. You are also able to change your email address on this menu.

3. Entering the Validation Code.

Below is an example of the e-mail you will receive. You have two options, you can either click the link to validate your email, or you can copy and paste the Activation code into the Activation Menu.

The player name and parts of the link and activation code have been intentionally hidden on this screen print.

4. Finding the Email in Microsoft Live! (Hotmail).

If you access your email from a smart phone, tablet or other email programme or application, you will not receive all the emails sent to your Live! account. Microsoft provides a spam filter before the email is downloaded to your device or application, your device or application then provides an additional spam account thereby filtering your email again.

The Forge of Empires emails are frequently caught in the first spam check, therefore you will need to log onto your Live! mail account on your Internet Browser as this is the only way to view that first spam folder. A screen print of the Live! inbox can be seen below. The first junk/spam mail box has been highlighted.
