Dye Production

Hello All,

How can I produce Dye? What do I need to Research/Build?

In order to produce dye, you need to research Growing in the Technology Tree. Then you need to unlock the research before the building will appear in your build menu in the Good Buildings tab. At this point, if you have sufficient coins, supplies and available population, you will be able to construct a dye works. However, you should also check whether you have the boost for dye; which is flower. You can build an unboosted goods building, but a boosted one produces much more per day.

Wow! Thanks .. Your reply made me find a research that I've missed!
 
Hi Sikas,

I would always suggest to produce the goods that you have boosted. This means that you have the original material available (as Hippo said it's the flower)

You get the raw material on the world map. Per age, you discover 2 raw materials out of the lot (there are 5 per age, so out of the 5 things to produce per age, you only have 2 boosted, which are the ones you get from the world map)

So you could still research the technology to build the dye works but if you don't have the raw material; then it will produce nearly nothing and will cost you a lot for not much. That's why I think it's best to produce what you have on the world map, and then trade those goods against those you need, in the market with your guildies or your friends/neighbours.

Do you have the flower unlocked on the world map ?
 
I know this is a very old thread but i was hoping someone could help, Ive researched Growing & unlocked it in the Technology Tree, but the dye building never appears, I have a vineyard which was unlocked at the same time in the Growing research, confused or what
