Does the GvG Global Legacy ranking get daily updates?

I'm the low one on the level 20 totem pole, but can't see why. My Level Points are much higher than the first player in the 20 stack. I'm in gold league vs. their copper, I have 35k player points to their 3000. It's like the only thing that the legacy is based on is possibly getting there first and the level. So regardless of your stats, when you hit a new guild level, you're on the bottom. Was this list just created when GvG ended and not maintained? If so, take a snapshot and put it on wiki and get rid of it. I prefer to see current stats vs. something that is archive material. It could also use an overhaul to include the guilds level points. The League stats don't have that either. It would be nice to see what factors actually contribute to the guilds position.

lots of things in this game don't make much sense looks like devs are to occupied on events and tech tree to fix small things that need to be done or don't make sense

The 'Guild vs Guild Legacy Ranking' is what it says it is: Legacy. It's the result of events that took place in the past. The positions are locked. It's only for display. It has no impact on current or future stats or ranking systems.
The only working guild ranking system we have now is the GBG Champinship ranking, where positions change based on VP from GBG.

There's nothing to maintain. It's dead. It's the last results of an antiquated ranking system. It's a tombstone. I guess they keep it on display to honour the players who enjoyed and miss GvG.

That's a little strange. The positions are based on prestige, and prestige no longer exists after they shut down GvG. New guilds established after GVG shut down shouldn't be on a GvG Legacy list.

Actually I can answer this. There is a small amount of Prestige still built into every guild by level. it's capped at 2500 points for level 100 guild, so they won't get much rank out of it, but they do get 25 prestige points for every guild level as they rank up with guild power.

I guess it turns out Inno didn't shut off the old ranking entirely, it's just not possible for most of it to change - gvg was the biggest prestige factor, and with everyone capped at a set amount of prestige per guild level and a set amount for GBG league, the legacy rank appears not to move for most guilds.

Are you sure about this? Didn't they remove the 25 prestige per level?

They did, at least from the guild screen, doesn't mean they removed it from the code. The calculations could still be happening in the background even if the guild screen no longer shows prestige. If they observe changes in the legacy ranking, it can only be because calculations are still happening on guild level or guild league points.

Lazy coding seems to be the norm, My bet would be that the old calculation of LP x18 for guild prestige from battlegrounds is still happening, because for the most part it doesn't matter anyway and the new ranking screen is what you're supposed to view. The guild level calcs of guild level x 25 may still be in there too, original poster would have to go do the math.
