Does anyone know just how long the boost lasts for? The one that increases production and gives you 20% discount. Also the Collect All button is that a one time use or does it have automatic affect each time everything is ready?

DeletedUser17

Let me clarify

1. Boost:
If you enter a production building(example hunter below), you will see a premium button. This doubles the supplies the building will produce once. This option is also available for houses that produce gold as well.

2. Boost all:
All available supply and gold production houses receive the boost feature explained in point 1. However if you "boost all" you will save 20% of the diamond cost, compared to boosting each building separately. This boosts all buildings once.

3. Collect all:
The collect all allows you to collect all your resources that are ready to be picked up once.

Now I spent the entire day playing yesterday and went to bed in first place with 35k points, I was gone for about 10 hours. I log on today and there is someone with 67k points. This person only had around 10k points last night. I only know that cause they attacked me yesterday and I was going to get revenge today. Do diamonds really give you that huge of an advantage over normal playing or is that an exploit? 56k points in 10 hours seems..yeah.

Why, please, tell me why every online's strategie games adopt this economic model ? In this model, more you spend real money more you are strong in the game, for a strategic game it's a nonsense. Why no one try another economic model based on subscription, I'm sure that could make good money too, with no one else on this market and the old hardcore players ( 30-40 ) like me who waiting for our Graal, a MMORTS where only the strategie lead to victory.

Thank to the designers to think about it.

DeletedUser

Well, because this game must make profit and there are games out there that are based on a subscription like a premium account.

Sure they have to and its okay that they bring in a guyable ressource. BUT: I have looked around and done some stuff and it is really annoying, how they are advertised in every action I do and even on the left side of the screen, where i have my quests! I fell cheap as a non-paying Player. I Sure won't pay anything for this game, i won't play it for long either because its demotivational. This is not how to make money.

Please remember that developing an online game is very expensive. In order for the entire community to play, premium options are necessary for us to finance and host the game. We would like to develop the game beyond the late middle ages at some point, and hope to do so with your support. It is every ones own choice if they wish to play with premium or not. If you do not wish to use premium that is your choice, however some players enjoy this option. Activity is the main means of advancement, and we have tried very hard to balance the game so EVERY player can be successful.

I will give this beta because of the diamonds. They give too much advantages. research or expansion are really important for a town. Diamonds are too powerfull.

Good luck for your game.

i agree the site needs to make money but the advantages shouldnt be so great it should instead like in tribal wars make the game easier to play in a shorter amount of time without any significant advantages this type of a payment form makes for a non competitive game because the "best" player is the one willing to pay the most to be the "best" wherease in tribalwars it can be overcome by more play time the advantages here cannot

I give up, can not research without buying goods. You can't play this game without diamonds. That's fact.

They made a change in the last patch before closed beta that increased the goods requirements for technology upgrades really excessive. Take a look at some of the requirements later on in the tree, like the High Middle Ages and Late Middle Ages. The reasoning that they give is because they introduced trade as a new feature, and that they wanted players to focus on their main materials that they get from the continent map and trade in bulk with other players for the goods you need. It really seems like their intent was to force players to buy diamonds rather than to make a balancing change, but it's not impossible to play the game without diamonds.

the diamonds are too expensive. I'd recommend to decrease the price and put a small banner in the lower right. cost less if people use them and the advertising revenue compensates

thats seems to be normal. for example me.

atm i have 10 blacksmith + 27 x stilt houses.
if you are going to sleep for 8 hours i get a lot of ranking points in this time if i play active.

i noticed that every tool and tax you earn give you 1 ranking point.

for example:

10 x BS = 19 tools per BS all 15 min = 10x19x4x8 = the maximum ammount of tools i can produce in 8 hours if you are sleeping = 6080 ranking points
27 x SH = 15 gold per SH all 15 min = 27x15x4x8 = the maximum ammount of gold i can produce in 8 hours if you are sleeping = 16200 ranking points

arround 22k points for a lot of work in 10 hours. arround 55k points per day but thats not realistic bacause you need to sleep :)

but you get points too if you conquer an new area too. but this is an hard fight and in bronze age i think there is now way to conquer a lot areas without buying at the marketplace so you have to fight and it takes to long to recruit an new soldier or slinger so you need diamonds.

maybe you get points to if you win an pvp fight or someone attacks you and gets defeated bye the KI. iam not sure.

i think new technologies and better buildings give you an small one time bonus too.

but yes. iam no pro gamer here but it think its impossible to get 56k points in 10 hours without diamonds.

You get ridiculous amounts of points for completing missions. You can take the early provinces very, very easily with spears/slingers (all the way up to the end of the iron age, actually). 56k in 10 hours is high, yes, but not necessarily unachievable.

Yeah I have not used diamonds and I am playing just fine, 2nd in my neoighborhood with 72k points and tourney champion over only a few days. Diamonds are everywhere but they are really not necessary. I can not say that a person who bought a ton of diamonds would not roll over everyone else though.

can somone tell me whats the story with this diamond boost?
i saw first that boost was cost 440 diamonds, 2 days after 400, and now 600. why its like that ?

i think its based on how many buildings there are producing also diamonds are excessively powerful if some person with a boat load of extra cash came along they could massively expand their village and do a whole lot of research very quickly and easily top the most efficient active non diamond using player
