I'd like the Sentinels... You'd need a LOT of diplomacy.
They're a tribe that lives on an island in the indian ocean, they kill all foreigners since a dozen of them have been taken 200 years ago, and the 2 survivors (they are very sensible to european diseases) were brought back a few months later, triggering an epidemic episode.

Also intrigued...any other info on Cultural Settlements yet? Tried searching but this was the only result, if anyone has a link I'd appreciate it :)

There are a few videos on you tube where a guy explains the complete basics, its worth a look and gives you a good idea of how it works.

Can't wait for this to finally see full Live release!
While it's hugely unlikely you'll get tons of the Lv5 Greater Runestones without just throwing truckloads of diamonds at the game, it *should* be readily doable to get 1 of them while grinding through for the fully leveled Yggdrasil Tree. :)

My personal hope for Egypt would be;
1. main prize = Mortuary Temple (with statues of Anubis, Horus, Osiris & Isis)
ideally give defending army atk+def%, fp's, goods & coin boost.

2. 'time' related prize = Guardian Sphinx statue
ideally giving 1-2fp's, +def%, coin & supply boost.

There are 2 main prizes.
1st is The Greater Rune stone. This is obtainable through winning fragments, you have to get 15 fragments to make the whole item.
These are obtainable by completing 20 quests ( good luck with those ) the quests are time related, you have X number of days to complete them, then you get a few fragments, then you restart the whole thing from scratch ( any diamonds you spend will be lost when you restart )
You keep doing this until you get enough fragments to upgrade it to level 5
Then it gives coins + small attack boost
When motivated it adds medals, goods and fp.
2nd is the Emissary. This you get when you complete all the quests, irrespective of how long it takes.

Not quite...
The Yggdrasil Tree which is an upgradable building is the *main* prize.
You will get the Lv1 Tree after completing your first settlement, then the upgrades will come as you continue to replay & complete the settlement quest line again.
You will need to finish the Vikings Settlement a total of 15 times to gain the final upgrade, after which any subsequent runs will earn 50fps.

If you can earn the top time for completing the quest line on every run through those 15 settlements to complete your Tree, you will have enough fragments for 1x Lv5 Greater Runestone + a second one that'll be about half done.

The Tree IS the main reward as once fully maxed, it's a 3x3 that will give IIRC, 8fps per day, making it the game's currently most powerful event building!
(plus IIRC, some added atk bonus + goods + medals)

Oh, and no, you can't ever get a second one, for very obvious reasons!:P

Interoperability between Main Game and Settlements :
Does anybody know if there are rewards to be gained from settlements which can be used in the main game? Or is all game currency generated in Settlements only usable in Settlements?

All the main 3 rewards are used in your main city
The Tree and Runestone you can place as normal, the Emissary you will find in your city hall events list
The coins and supplies you use in the settlements to build are taken from your main city stocks.

Is the only way to unlock developments and emissaries by spending diamonds?
