Color guard a/d bonus

I just noticed that in GE a color guardsa/d bonus does not show up for the defending troops. I sometimes place a colorguard in a DA and so I am wondering... Does this add 12% a/d to that particular army against the attacking player. ie. Player 1 attacks tile 53,12 on the CE map, normally the a/d for one of those tiles is 50/50% (no HQ) I have a DA in that tile with a color guard. So when Player 5 attacks that specific army do they do they defend with an a/d of 62/62% ?
