Campaign Map

Droppy

Brigadier-General
Is the Campaign Map for Space Age Mars the same as the Continent map?

Campaign map is the official term. Continent map is how players refer to it.

No you will be in other map

So Michal says there are two maps and Droppy says they are the same but says the official term is Campaign map but on the web site it is always referred to as CONTINENT map.
So what is right two maps or one map and if two where is the one other than the Continent map. Thanks Guys

There is only 1 Mars Map. It is labeled Continent map in the game, some confusing person must have referred to it as a Campaign map at some point in a quest or other documentation, but it's all the same thing.

Mars is shown in the screenshot below, there are 2 landing site areas. This is the only map for Mars and it's where the nodes are for Mars ore.

If you're just looking at the knowledgebase on era release info though, it's all campaign info too. So if you're trying to understand where to find your mines and now have colonies that you didnt have before, new things happening and ingame just shows it as continent map and all the additional info is all campaign it seems a reasonable question.

I've adjusted answers before when I've used one or the other to avoid confusion.

Thanks. You obviously seem to understand what I am asking. I reached Space Age Mars but did not realise I had to complete the first world on the campaign map. I am at Oceanic future but still have many sectolrs to get to complete. Guess I got ahead of myself instead of focusing on the Continent/Campaign Map

Yeah they really need to have installed a speed bump on the 1st research item in Mars to make sure that people have scouted up to the Mars map before they age up to Mars. Mars is the first time it matters that your research and scouting are in sync because you need the nodes on the map for Mars ore.

If you're behind on your continent map, it will be some months to catch up since scouting each sector takes about a day unless you rush with diamonds. The number of people who have had their scouts still in Arctic or Oceanic when they research already in Mars is too many. You have all of Virtual Future to get through too before you can even scout Mars. Someone in my guild was in Arctic when they went up to Mars; I checked with them the following Christmas they were still working on catching up.

Mars is the speedbump when it comes to the Continent map. If you do not keep research and techtree in sync much ear;ier you will hit other speedbumps. You are supposed to learn from that.
