Background colour for console at bottom LHS of screen

As a player, since I first started, I have found it hard to tell if I have messages or not, because the colours round the buttons here are way too light. Can we have a colour scheme with more contrast, so that impending messages become plainer to see, please?
It's especially hard if u just have a desk lamp on in the evenings.

Hello Snappetybyte,

I'm not sure if this helps, but you could check the brightness setting of your screen and turn it down a little - that could help in making the flashing icon more visible :)
