A way to store great buildings?

I wish there was a store box that could take great buildings. If I had known we would get massive retroactive changes every few weeks I would have left more room in my city to occasionally tear everything down and start over.

I built my entire military strategy around rail guns, champions, and rogues, but then they nerfed the rail guns. I still haven't figured out how to rebuild a completely new military strategy without the space to build a bunch of new military buildings. Then I get a notice saying they are nerfing the crystal houses so I am losing a third of my people. I guess I just wish for some kind of grace period or "we made a mistake" storage box so that I can adjust to the new rules
