GBG IS BROKEN

Not much to say about this broken system. Smaller guilds and guilds with 80 member have the same attrition rules. It is beyond broken
So, what if you have a guild with 80 members where only 5 members are a little bit active in GBG - and a guild with only 10 members where all 10 members are strong and extremely active GBG fighters?

yes, finally they acknowledge it, still, this doesn't change the fact that Inno games is on a downwards spirall of losing their players trust by doing things like this, I remember GBG being exactly how they are changing it to be now, random by LP, they are basically changing it back to how it was before season 28, and they never announced the update and change to Guild ID, they did it in secret, it wasn't in any change log, then they denied that it is by Guild ID for months and months, until awareness was completely spread about it, and denying it was no longer possible, I don't trust them anymore, and I wonder how can anyone trust a company that pushes experimental features to the game without adding them to the change log and then pull them back once people start seeing trough the change?

wasn't exactly the random sorting by LP that got us in this mess in the first place? people weren't happy with sorting randomly by LP either, as the real problem is not sorting, the real problem is the fact that you have 5 leagues across a total of 1000 LP, while

Place8 Guilds7 Guilds6 Guilds5 Guilds
1st+175 LP+150 LP+125 LP+100 LP
2nd+125 LP+100 LP+75 LP+50 LP
3rd+75 LP+50 LP+25 LP0 LP

and the fact that even a small guild with a few players, can easily climb to diamond? the solution they are changing back to isn;t solving the problem, but is definitely offering more diversity ... they should acknowledge that the gap in LP between the leagues is not big enough, or they should acknowledge that if 1000 LP is the cap, that winning of LP should be cut down by a 100% to make it actually a viable solution, so that in diamond you would really have only diamond league capable guilds, and in platinum only platinum league capable guilds, instead in this "new" actually old solution, you will still have 49-50-60 diamond league guilds on each server, "diamond league guilds" who aren't able to conquer 1-2 sectors the entire season, unless the real diamond guilds give them room to play and show them mercy and understanding, does Inno even realize that these small guilds who are falsely placed in to diamond league, are actually competing to drop out of diamond and stay out of diamond, as they get to farm more in Platinum and Gold league because in Platinum and Gold there are no guilds like LoW, Apocalypse, Insane University, GENESIS, Hostile Take Over, or similar, who can keep them boxed in their base for full 11 days? diamond is not the goal for 90% of the guilds out there ...

changes needed ...
increase gap between Leagues or decrease LP gaining by a 100%
make GBG cross-server, otherwise the leagues are completely pointless, as even in the above suggested change real diamond guilds would end up fighting the same guilds over and over again, as other guilds won't be able to stay in diamond by not being able to match them
why is cross-server such a big issue? do they not have the $$ to make it possible? bandwith in 2021? there are 1 TBit internet connections for as cheap as 50$ a month in some countries now

The Cross server Idea is probably one of the best options for GBG since going random now they have created a new failure where top guilds can pair up in multiple divisions now and lock the door on everyone that has the misfortune to make diamond 1000. The one beauty of GBG is the comraderie it can create among multiple guilds that work together. Would it not be amazing to take 2 or max 3 guilds from each server that are equally matched base on total fights done previous season. I could Imagine En7 2 guilds as mortal enemies vs 2guilds from En4 2 from en 5 etc....etc... this would allow better match ups and world vs world great competition. Still allows 2 guild from ea server to work together and that becomes a real battleground for everyone instead of farming grounds. On an economical perspective it would most likely creat more Diamond buys when the competition is real competition. The results of last update are attached and sure many more will see this as well. 6 guild 300 loyal players left to what? If this continues more will leave the game or migrate to top guilds and make it worse.

Another screen of another map

this one, is from a wishing well world of mine, in a guild which is free to join, and has 8 encounters on expeditions as minimums.

before you explain the picture, by telling that we tryharded last round, and this is the price we have to pay, maybe think out of the box and see what the picture is showing ?

there is huge unbalance folks, like it or not.

"This is how we want it to be" would be fair and respectable , but, keeping the same route, is hurting the game, and us who wants to have people to play with.

I wonder if it would work. For every open flag a guild has reduce the effectiveness of siege camps by 10% per flag to a bottom cap lets say 50% That could at the least stop those flag scattered blockades. The few guilds do on the many. Strong fast guild can still dominate as should but those 4 to 16 hrs flag swaps would perhaps change things?

Obviously, one of the biggest problems is the siege camps, that create an option for 2-3 guilds to team up and swap sectors every 4th hour with minimal attrition increase.
Reducing the amount of buildings slots or the % of the siege camps would probably help. Or removing the option to rush buildings with diamonds.
It may not affect the really strong fighters with an insane att/def boost much. Attrition increase may not bother them much. But you could say, of course, that they've earned that advantage, by pushing their att/def boost to the sky. It takes years, or a lot of diamonds.

Good point. Isn't it beautiful, how players from all around the world find ways to work and grow and prosper together instead of fighting each other. Maybe the world isn't coming to an end after all. :)

Would love to see more features like that in the game, actually. Features, that encourage players (and guilds) to work together in creative and strategic ways. Instead of yet another boring battle feature like the PvP Tower.

It is essential for Inno to make a profit and pay staff and expenses so the diamond rushes and other things are a good thing. Allows the game to also be free for players world wide. i hope the can analyze when 2 or 3 guilds after day 1 lock the map they also lock out sveral guilds that don't spend for the entire season. case and point last season I was more than happy to insta camps over 50 camps for guild mates to enjoy and have fun. Blocked this season Zilch expenditure and will remain as such for 10 days. And the 2 or 3 doing the blockade and ruining it for all others are certainly able to wait for their camps without the need to rush. Fixing the match ups in listening and taking players comments and legitimate concerns spoken on the forums and making the match ups based on other criteria like total number of fights to determine pairings could be a thing to look at. Keeping attrition low works very well for players that are not attack beasts the SC system is very nice and helps the casual player as well enjoy GBG. its the farming use 159/160 flags that cover the map that discourage everyone from even trying as the top 2 hog it all season. My key point was for every extra open flag after let's say 2 flags make the cost per flag be 10% reduction in siege camps effect.

Fast forward 8+ hrs later and I will never diamond splurge again until a mod forward concerns to Developers and higher ups that do not read forums. same bs same crappy crap. map 1 is above this is current. LOLROTF

8 hours later? Are they only swapping sectors every 8th hours? Such petty weaklings :D
Is it not the same everywhere? This is ruining gbg for 90% of players so 5 camps only fighters can set a map block sisrespect and farm an Inno is for sure aware but blind to it. Any comments from mods would show you study and forward. RK left the game a while back 10K $$$ diamond buys lost this is sad.

No not 8 hrs as you ask the image is 8 hrs from my 1st map and sure every world has the same going on.

Cannot be worse than this joke. The guilds with high number of inactive players can remove them. Same concept applies to GE. The points earned depends on the number of players in a guild

Anyone who is frustrated with this broken, one sided no fun affair should seriously considering not participating in GBG until they fix it. The bullies run out of room to fight and Inno makes no money.

No frustration here, will keep doing what I can until I can’t :)

wish there was an opt out button when a guild jumps from platinum to diamond 1000 you would be shocked how many would opt out. Cause No matter what There will always be multiple guilds that will jump from Platinum to diamond 1000 each season. This repeats and repeats and repeats. players get frustrated discouraged and miss out on what is a very integral part of the game that is ruined not by farming but by falling into the jump to diamond 1000 trap when 80% of the guilds should never be there. case and point Young guild in G world 29 players 3 hard fighters 10 casual from platinum to diamond 075 under we manage 20,000 - 30 ,000 total fight neg points along with 2 to 4 other guilds we share the map with. What do we need to do to stay off the guilds that do 80 to 100 k + ea gbg? Light Bulb how about matching up by not random nor guild id but total of ea guild fight negs points.

So what? If a guild does not belong in Diamond (as per your opinion), then they will probably only get 7th or 8th in the battleground and automatically get put back into Platinum.
They got a taste of Diamond, and if they do not belong, they will not get a 2nd Diamond chance until they re-qualify for it. If this undeserving guild (per your opinion) manages a top 6, well, then they get to stay and perhaps they do deserve to stay afterall.

Unfortunately, its not a "new" problem. We figured that out early in 2020 and a couple of strong guilds have been pinning and locking people out on our server for over a year. Most of the time everyone is just farming anyway and the smaller guilds are let out of their box from time to time, but 2 or 3 guilds dominate the map while the others sit on their HQ. Every season it's the same story.

People have been posting about this in the official feedback thread (how the MMR ranking is too skewed, and puts everyone toward 1000 and in Diamond league, even 1 man guilds) since last summer. After 4 months or certainly by about April/May 2020 most guilds had maxed out their rank and competing didn't matter any more, so farming took over. In the next couple of months even more guilds reached that point so that by last Fall this problem where GBG ranks and gameplay need to be rebalanced has been obvious to most players.

If you want your feedback to actually be forwarded, post in the official feedback thread. this is a "discussion" thread and while it's nice to vent here, you haven't seen a mod's face in here for a while because they focus on the official feedback threads. Lots of ideas similar to yours have been posted anyway,
  • limiting number of siege camps or number of repeat buildings that can be built on slots
  • shorten seasons or more time off between seasons,
  • make the ranking points less per season so that guilds spread out more instead of bouncing all between diamond and platinum leagues for anyone with a pulse,
  • or adding more leagues.
  • Introduce a decay on "pinned" sectors so they can't stay pinned for hours or days (finish them or lose the pin, decay from 159, -20 fights every hour it sits or something)
There's lots of rebalancing that could be done now, or could have been done 6-9 months ago, without even opening the door to cross server GBG which they've said no to many, many times. cross server would shake up the boredom of fighting with the same guilds over and over, but I wouldn't hold my breath for that. It presents issues like basing rank on your server on how you did versus a guild on an older or newer server, which would be odd and possibly unfair, and there's all the technical issues of updating fights happening on one server to another server - which would cause lag and delays, unless they moved all battlegrounds to a shared server or something.

I understand why they don't just snap their fingers and make GBG cross server like GE is.
I do not understand why nothing is done to rebalance the system we already have.

The only reason a small guild gets into diamond league is because they bought their way in with siege camps - if they were able to actually fight in diamond league their outcome would be different.

Cross-server battles would not change that in any way. Big guilds - including powerful 1-man guilds are what they are.

Get rid of Siege Camps and the problems these guilds have in diamond league of getting boxed in would go away because they would Never make it into diamond league in the first place - In fact some of these guilds would be quickly forced back into Gold or Silver Leagues - where their competition would be more evenly matched!

Having low-level players with their Arc of level 80 - does Not make them strong - it allows them to buy the Siege Camps Only! And, these same players make their way into Diamond League Expecting an outcome other than getting Squashed by the big guilds.

Myself and two other players have made it to Platinum league winning the last 4 seasons without any Seige camps so you are wrong with your statement sorry, we are winning this season also and currently have 750Lp soon to be 900Lp, Will expect to get to diamond after next season then to get penned in by stronger guilds:)

way off mate this is not true it's because of the sad game design Inno refuses to fix hoping to God they wake up. Pumpernikle 8 to 9 gulids to dominate why not put them all together to fly their flags on a hill in war without tears? GBG is BROKEN and oriented to only 8 to 12 guilds to farm a huge issue.

each open flag take 10% attrition protection away fro their attack? Besides as I see except for lords of war in G world all others are hesitant to do anything below 100% attrition free fights as cowards Farming GBG has created. Flag penalty Inno please.

That describes the problem very well.
The size of a guild should also be considered when matching up guilds. I believe Inno follows the philosophy that frustrated players are more likely to spend money. It is exact opposite.
