Event Carnival Event 2018

IMHO, it's not worth jumping through hoops/spending diamonds and/or chewing up map provinces (especially if you're already an age or three ahead), when the Spring event's rewards are going to be so much better! (if the rumored Lv2 Cherry Garden stats are indeed true!;))

Just wait... if it's THAT good it will surely get nerfed after every man and his dog spent a crate of diamonds to get it... :P

Thanks Inno. Appreciate the offer of [insert name of anything here] for 120 Florins. Brilliant.

I still have like... um... let's see... like 10 useless footballs hanging around in the Ether.

Cheers for the opportunity to use up the Florins at events end!

what a let down work hard to get all the quests done and what do you get Level 3 of a special event building now of course they let you believe you can win 4 upgrades by using coins won with tickets ( very confusing) but it is evident in order to gain level 7 of this special event building your going to spend real money on diamonds to buy more tickets to get coins. i for one will not be participating in your diamond hungry events any longer

1. Punctuation and Grammar are your friends... or should be 1george;

2. Yes. Like most games I've played online there is a potential hidden cost. It's called... capitalism. Is this your first experience with it?

3. What was confusing about the tickets? Seemed straightforward to me.

4. I have a very nice lvl 4 bridge sitting in my city. I'm ok with it.

5. Like I've said before, and I'll say again, I encourage you to be a wise consumer and spend your time, energy, dollars, etc. in a way that edifies your life. You have the choice. You always have. I'm not sure why you are so indignant.

6. Please, for the sake of those like me who will actually read your post... see point 1.

This event was disappointing. Way more losses than wins in the spins and the contents of the chest were often not very appealng. When I finally won quite a few coins from the big chest only 15 mins before the end of the event deadline all I got out of the chest were 3 sets of blueprints for buildings that I did not need.

I think the problem is twofold;
a) Too many people are too damn entitled to think that, "if I finish the event quests, then logically that means I should get the big shiny gold mega-prize, because... 'reasons'."

b) Too many people didn't play all that smart.

c) Probability isn't what most people *think* it is.

To begin with, if the Lv7 bridge was your ultimate goal, then a simple strategy to ensure the greatest likelihood of gaining said reward would be;
- save ALL your florens for *just* the day(s) that the upgrade is the daily reward.
- only spend when it's the 20% odds chest vs. the iirc, 15% chest.
Sure, that wouldn't also potentially net you any SoK's, but then, your stated goal was the Lv7 Bridge anyways, right?! So resist temptation and only go for the day(s) where you have the greatest chance at success!

Now to gain said florens, the 'general tactics' to ensure the best payouts were to;
- finish the whole quest line to maximise both ticket + floren rewards
- when spending tickets just go for the 100% 10x florens option!!
The latter was very important to understand... this was *not* an event where patience pays off... every minute your bar sat overfilled with tickets, was a minute it wasn't simply generating more tickets!
Yeah, 10 florens/ticket may seem counter-intuitive, but then this event lasted what, 23 or 24 days? That's still, for the sake of argument we'll say 21 days of hourly ticket-collecting, 21days x 24hr's of tickets x 10florens each = 5040!! more florens!
Added to the (I can't be bothered to look up the exact numbers right now), roughly 1.5k florens from the quests + 2500 florens for finishing 20-something quests, that's a whopping 9040. (and we're still not counting the extra tickets from quests florens!)
If you saved all that up and waited until the back half of the event, then just spent on the 20% upgrade odds chest, you were all but gauranteed to win a Lv7 Bridge, outside of being among the 1% of completely 'RNG screwed' players.

However, I think what happens is that too many people instead of taking the hourly 10 florens, try and go for the 15% and 5% 'games', with only a handful of tickets, despite that due to how probability actually works, you need 11-14 tickets on average just to give yourself 99% odds of winning at 30% (ie: using the 'double odds for 20 florens' option)
Thus, people end up 'wasting' their tickets for 0 gains, and instead, nasty people like me come in when it's opportune & steal away the pot of 250-300+ florens!:lol::lol:

steal away the pot of 250-300+ florens!
Someone steals the pot of 1100+ florins, but that someone isn't me :D Actually, spending tickets into 5% even while not using money *eventually* nets you more than getting guaranteed 10 *on average*, the same with 15% but with less proficiency to the hood. I went for 5%, sometimes gambling with 11 tickets with 10% odds against a huge pot (450+), accepting fails if they happen, and stopping playing once won. Netted me 1 more upgrade than needed, with full questline complete (so, 5 upgrades from chests).

My secondary city on J-world, I was plugging away with 40+ tickets banked on about the 3rd or 4th day, pot was up to nearly 1900 florens...
...and a filthy, scummy 'hoodie who was mashing the button at the same time I was stole away the whole pot!:mad::mad:

So I 'got even' & went and plundered them on a near daily basis for the duration of the event!;)
Even got an angry note about how I'd stolen a 24hr production they needed for one of the event quests, thus setting them back yet again in the quest line!

thus I consider it a fair trade-off.

I hope Inno have a license, in the UK if you provide facilities for remote gambling (online or through other means), and advertise to consumers in Britain, you will need a licence from the Gambling Commission.

DeletedUser112089

LOL i would never do that, like the game too much... and i'm sure they have the same licenses as online casinos or they would not sell diamonds to gamble on event items etc.

They should ensure that all players are over 16 too as there is an age restriction on gambling activities.
