    I have a problem....
I have 3 GBs, Notre Dame, St.Marks and Hagia Sofia. How to place them around town hall, to use the smallest amount of roads. I came up with this idea, but there is too much useless spaces (12 squares). Any idea?

No way to put those 3 behind your town hall perfectly, they all have same width of 6. Just use them elsewhere in your corners sides etc to limit the amount of tiles your roads need to travel in order to reach those faraway places.

In this "Bridging the Gap" the system, you can utilize all the spaces in between. i have seen many are using this idea in very constructive manner

This one is not that effective but still worth looking

Too many pretty boy cities, look around you real ones evolve. All this straight line rubbish is so OCD.
The old mixes with the new.
Look at mine and see the chaos of reality...

My humble little city, in late EMA

My idea is to have the biggest buildings on the outside. Currently I have 3byX, Xby3, 4byX. Later in the game (as in LMA/CA) the outside will have to accomodate Xby5 and 5byX buildings, and maybe Xby6 and 6byX as well.

My city in very early LMA. I am expanding on the bottom line to the left.

In the confines of the game such "OCD" is the way to the top However, I am surprised there is no thread, where people who enjoy what they do with their city post screenshots.

Tough luck with those big good buildings If you wish you can conserve some space with little effort(I tried to stick to your layout) http://www.forgestats.net/map/map.ph...0cfcd7ffadf5a4

Check out this layout for all 12 great buildings excluding the Indiustrial Age ones.

If you like my style, then this is a town I designed to a guildmate of mine couple of weeks ago for his layout and buildings: http://www.forgestats.net/map/map.ph...ba8d63e4390c7d
