    Greetings Kings and Queens,


    With the next update, changes will be made to points given by some buildings. The reason for this is a flaw in the old points calculation formula, which has caused bigger buildings to be disadvantaged when calculating points. There will also be some changes made to supply costs in Industrial Age residential buildings, as outlined below.

    We would like to make you aware of these planned changes now, so you are able to think ahead and prepare for the change. Please do not be too alarmed - most of the changes are positive, with the exception being decorations, some of which will have their points lowered, and we believe that these changes will have a positive impact on the game.

    With the update, points will not be recalculated, but any new buildings will have the new points value. If you remove a building, the new points value will also be removed, so please be aware of this if you are planning to make significant changes in your city.

    Dear Kings and Queens,

    After reviewing feedback from you, our players, the planned changes will be postponed until the update to 0.31. This is to allow for improvements in the implementation of the changes. Here's what will happen instead:

    The point changes will remain the same (see the tables above), but at the time of the change, each player's city's buildings will have their points recalculated* to match the new points scheme. In most cases, this will mean that after the change is implemented, you will see an increase in points. An exception to this will be if you have a large number of decorations in your city, in which case you may notice a decrease in points.

    * For those interested in the technical side: The city's old building points will be removed, then the change is applied, then the city's new building points will be added.
